[ Some visceral, instinctual, animal part of his hindbrain perks up at even the mention of blood, and he can feel his saliva glands kicking in. The way they would at (usually) the thought of his favorite food, or the way they would when he's about to yak he can't be entirely certain. It's gotta be the latter right?
